Best Jobs in America 2010

Recently, I read CNN's Best Jobs in America (2010) and I was pleased to read that dentist ranked twelfth. (Not too shabby!) Of course "Software Architect," (if that's even a real job...please tell me you detected the sarcasm in that) is ranked #1 and that's my boyfriend's profession. He always has to one-up me...
Physician Assistant ranked in at #2, which is interesting because this is another profession I have been looking at recently. I feel like if I don't end up as a dentist, (heaven forbid some random change of heart or something) I would end up as something along the line's of a PA. 
So give it a read and see where your future profession ranks. I wouldn't put too much weight on it though, because I believe anyone has the ability to make their job number one in its own right.

Dentist = Doctor + Engineer + Artist

Hey guys! I hope your Tuesday is going great. Mine was a long day, surprise surprise. I went to the school early this morning to get some x-rays done with a friend, but I couldn't because all of the x-ray machines were taken. So I ended up pouring up some casts and getting ready for our practical next Monday, then I went to class and finally I assisted in the clinics this afternoon. I was having a great conversation with the student I was assisting about how he got into dentistry. He said that at first he wanted to be an engineer, and then he became more interested in the health field, and finally he decided on dentistry. We talked about how much engineering there is in dentistry. Before coming to dental school, I never considered myself an engineer, but now that I've seen how much technical, mechanical detail there is to dentistry I can say that I have some knowledge in the subject. Interview #1 - Virginia Commonwealth University

Hey hey hey! I paid my deposit down at UMich the other day and I am ready to go! Nothing gets me excited for dental school like handing over a check for over a thousand dollars and getting some routine immunizations tomorrow. Joy of joys! It's a good problem to have however, since I know I'm crazy lucky that I have to get immunizations for dental school because, bottom line, I've been accepted to dental school! Anyway.
