"A Little Party Never Killed Nobody"

Hey Guys! TGIM! ;)

I've had quite the weekend, and am sad to be returning back to classes, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Last Friday was our President's Ball and it was the Great Gatsby theme. So of course, I had to buy a flapper costume because I am the queen of costume parties (self-proclaimed, I must add.) Here are some pics:






Then on Saturday Jeff took his sister and I to the symphony to see "RePlay: the Symphony of Heroes." I know this might be the nerdiest thing I post on here (and that's saying a lot) but this symphony was SO GOOD. They played orchestra versions of all the iconic video game music (go ahead, laugh at me) from games like Halo, God of War: Ascension, Bioshock, etc. They also had video game footage playing while the songs were being played and it was basically one of the coolest things I've ever seen/heard. No shame.

So now it's back to real life and my Physics text book is calling my name. More like screaming it in sheer agony, but you know, whatever.

I just got done taking my DAT this weekend and due to the two snow days my college has called for today and tomorrow, I decided that I could use the extra time to write a How-To Guide of sorts for taking the DAT. Hey guys! I hope your Tuesday is going great. Mine was a long day, surprise surprise. I went to the school early this morning to get some x-rays done with a friend, but I couldn't because all of the x-ray machines were taken. So I ended up pouring up some casts and getting ready for our practical next Monday, then I went to class and finally I assisted in the clinics this afternoon. I was having a great conversation with the student I was assisting about how he got into dentistry. He said that at first he wanted to be an engineer, and then he became more interested in the health field, and finally he decided on dentistry. We talked about how much engineering there is in dentistry. Before coming to dental school, I never considered myself an engineer, but now that I've seen how much technical, mechanical detail there is to dentistry I can say that I have some knowledge in the subject. Interview #1 - Virginia Commonwealth University

Hey hey hey! I paid my deposit down at UMich the other day and I am ready to go! Nothing gets me excited for dental school like handing over a check for over a thousand dollars and getting some routine immunizations tomorrow. Joy of joys! It's a good problem to have however, since I know I'm crazy lucky that I have to get immunizations for dental school because, bottom line, I've been accepted to dental school! Anyway.
